Welcome to the digital channel of National Energy Center for the payments of utility bills and more. We herewith introduce our mobile app – Tadoom - X (hereafter the “App”). This Privacy Policy governs your use of the App and outline our practices regarding the collection use and disclosure of information. NEC and its associate/subsidiary companies take protection of and respect for your personal data very seriously and we are committed to ensuring that your personal data is protected.
By accessing and using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the App Privacy Policy (the “Policy”).
The Policy explains how we collect, use and share the information gathered about you through your use of the App and aims to inform you about the rights and freedoms that you can exercise with regard to our use of your personal data. This Policy also describes the measures we implement to protect this data.
If you do not want us to process any of your personal information through this App, as set out in this Policy, you may reject the privacy notification and uninstall the app immediately.
Tadoom, with registered offices at PO Box 11, PC 135, KOM-5, Knowledge Oasis Muscat, Muscat, Oman, is the “data controller” for personal data relating to use of the App. These processing operations are carried out in accordance with applicable law and are subject to pre-established procedural requirements.
The terms “we”, “our”, “us” refer to Tadoom in its capacity as data controller.
To ensure the protection of your privacy and your personal data, we define Personal Data as “any information that identifies or enables to identify an individual, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier (such as an identification number or location data) or one or several factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that individual”.
We collect Personal Data in different ways and this data will be processed in accordance with the purposes described below.
In order to use the App and to benefit from our services, you must provide us with a certain amount of Personal Data at the time of registration to create your account or to receive news, offers and promotions. This can include but is not limited to your surname, first name, date of birth, postcode, phone number, e-mail address, gender. If, however, you choose to register via social media, we will only collect your surname, first name, phone number and email address or any other information you wish to share at the time.

We may also share your personal data within the framework of transparency, honesty and respect for human dignity and after your express written consent, with third party service providers whom we have selected to manage the functionalities of the App, to facilitate or extend our services such as any functionality which is embedded in the App and provided by an authorized third party provider, and for the following purposes:
Your Personal Data is stored by Tadoom in a central database located in the Sultanate of Oman.
We may also send your Personal Data to third party service providers who may be located outside the country, subject to the provisions of Personal Data Protection Laws RD 6/2022 and Electronics Transactions Laws RD 69/2008. Where that is the case, we will comply with the relevant laws of the Sultanate of Oman and implement appropriate controls and procedures to protect the Personal data and maintain records and cooperate with the relevant Ministry, to transfer your personal data and to ensure implementation for the protection.
We will not retain your information for longer than is necessary for our business purposes or for legal requirements. However, please be advised that we may retain some information after you have closed your account with us with your prior consent (or unsubscribed from our services), for instance if doing so is necessary to meet our legal obligations, such as retaining the information for tax and accounting purposes.
In accordance with applicable laws, you have the right to request access to your Personal Data, or to modify, rectify, and delete your Personal Data, and to object to the processing of your Personal Data for legitimate reasons.
Where you have provided consent in relation to any processing carried out by us through the App (e.g., to provide you with location based services or marketing notifications), you may withdraw your consent at any time, in which case we will cease to process your data for such purposes and stop offering you those services (unless we have another legal basis for continuing).
To exercise your rights, please send us your request using the contact details, either by e-mail or by post. If you make such a request, we are entitled to request appropriate identification before complying.

When you download access and use the App, we use cookies and other tracking technologies, as described below.
A cookie is a file which records information about how you use your device to browse the Internet (e.g., number of visits, number of pages accessed, etc.) and in particular helps us enhance your experience within the App.
We undertake to take appropriate technical and organizational measures to preserve the security and privacy of your personal data and, in particular, to prevent it from being distorted or damaged, and to prevent access to it by unauthorized third parties.
If any part of the App links you to a website, those websites do not operate under this Policy. We recommend you examine the privacy statements posted on those websites to understand their procedures for collecting, using and disclosing Personal Data.
Please note that the App is reserved for persons over 18 years of age and we are not intending to collect or process Personal Data of minors below 18. Consequently, if you are aged under 18, please get your parent's or guardian's permission before you share information with us using the App.
Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with information and, if they do so, we will cease to process their information as soon as we find out. We cannot be held liable if information belonging to minors is entered during registration in breach of these stipulations.
